# About EREVergelijken

EREVergelijken.eu is an independent initiative. We help you get rewarded for charging on green energy, and we make the ERE market and the energy transition transparent.

## What we do

The ERE Team explains how emission reduction units (ERE) work for electric charging, and compares the providers, energy suppliers and charging cards that come with that. Articles on this site are by the ERE Team. Every figure comes from a public source and has a date. If a value is missing, we say it is not public. We do not estimate it.

## Independent

No ownership ties to any ERE provider, energy supplier or charging company. No provider pays for placement, a rank, a score or a review. Every provider gets the same 18 public checks, the trust score, with a source and a date. Changes and corrections are in the public changelog.

## How we work

Sources only. Every figure dated. The same rules for everyone.

The automatic checks, in plain language:

-   Every day: the day-ahead electricity price.
-   Every Tuesday: the ERE price, from named sources.
-   Every Monday: ACM licences, energy supplier tariffs, home battery prices, and the 2027 feed-in rates.
-   Every Wednesday, and on the 1st and 2nd of the month: charging prices.
-   On the 1st of the month: terms, prices and privacy texts of ERE providers.
-   On the 3rd of the month: outgoing links on the site.
-   On the 4th of the month: sources on bidirectional charging, and the sentences on the pages our figures rely on. The feed-in rates are included that day as well.

Those 1,303 sources are the unique public pages in the files those checks read. A check that only reads does not change the figures itself. When a source changes, we re-read the page and update the figure and the date.

## Mistakes

If something is wrong, we correct it. A mistake of ours is entered in the changelog with the label "Our correction", with a date.

## What we do not do

-   No paid placement, and no payment for a rank, score or review.
-   No sales: we do not sell ERE, an energy contract or a charger.
-   No selling of personal data.
