Which cookies we use and how to manage your consent.

EREVergelijken.eu uses cookies and similar techniques. We only place analytics and marketing cookies with your consent. By default these are off until you accept them (Consent Mode v2).

## Types of cookies

-   **Functional** - needed to make the site work and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on.
-   **Analytics** - Google Analytics, to understand how the site is used and improve it. Only with consent.
-   **Analytics** - Microsoft Clarity, to see how far visitors read and where they click (heatmaps and session recordings). What you type in forms is masked. Cookies: `_clck` (1 year) and `_clsk` (1 day). Only with consent.
-   **Marketing** - Google Ads, to measure the effectiveness of ads. Only with consent.

## Managing your consent

On your first visit we ask for your choice via the cookie notice: *Accept* or *Essential only*. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page. If you choose essential only, analytics and marketing cookies are not loaded.

## Anonymous click count

A click on a link to a company's own site is added to an anonymous monthly total. That is not a cookie, it is not linked to you, and it does not depend on your cookie consent. What we do and do not store is in the [privacy statement](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/privacy/). We also count, anonymously and without cookies, which AI assistant a visit came from.
