# Mercedes-Benz electric cars

We cover 4 Mercedes-Benz models: 8,902 new registrations in the Netherlands in 2024 and 2025 combined, with consumption of 131 to 184 Wh/km (WLTP).

Short answer

As of October 18, 2026, at 15,000 km a year and all charged at home, a Mercedes-Benz earns about €240 to €340 a year in ERE, after the median commission of 20%. Consumption is 131 to 184 Wh/km (WLTP). Per kWh, earnings are the same for every car brand: €0.122.

- 4 models in this data

- 8,902 new registrations in the Netherlands, 2024 and 2025 EEA

- 131to 184 Wh/km consumption according to WLTP, lowest to highest model

- €240to €340 in ERE at 15,000 km charged at home. Per kWh the same for every brand

Comparison

## Mercedes-Benz: Wh/km and ERE per year

Wh/km is the WLTP consumption from the EEA data. ERE per year at 15,000 km charged at home follows that consumption, rounded to €5. More Wh/km means fewer kilometres per kWh, more kWh charged at the same distance and therefore more ERE. That is not an advantage: each extra kWh earns about €0.12 in ERE but costs about €0.26 in electricity at home. A more efficient car is cheaper overall. Per kWh the brand does not change earnings.

ERE

## What does ERE earn with a Mercedes-Benz?

At 15,000 km a year, all charged at home, the Mercedes-Benz models here earn about €240 to €340 a year in ERE, after the median commission of 20%. That difference comes only from the measured consumption: the Mercedes-Benz CLA at 131 Wh/km to the Mercedes-Benz EQE at 184 Wh/km.

Per kWh, ERE earnings for a Mercedes-Benz are the same as for every other car brand. The brand does not change that amount. Since 1 January 2026, private users need a charger with a built-in MID meter. [Do the charger check](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/charger-check/)

Outside the Netherlands: Only in Japan via CHAdeMO; its successor, the electric GLB, is listed for future V2H and V2G via DC.

- ### Mercedes-Benz EQA

No V2L, V2H or V2G, via AC or DC. Mercedes brings bidirectional charging to Europe only with its new generation, such as the GLC and CLA.

Outside the Netherlands: Only in Japan via CHAdeMO; its successor, the electric GLA, is listed for future V2H and V2G via DC.

- ### Mercedes-Benz EQE

No V2L, V2H or V2G, via AC or DC, for both the EQE saloon and the EQE SUV. The EQE is not on the MB.CHARGE Home list.

Outside the Netherlands: Bidirectional charging for the EQE exists only in Japan, via CHAdeMO.

- ### Mercedes-Benz CLA

No V2L. The hardware is prepared for V2H and V2G via DC, to be switched on later by an update, but it is not active anywhere yet (September 2026) and the Netherlands is not named.

Outside the Netherlands: Planned for Germany, France and the UK, first on the GLC and then on the CLA.

Questions

## Questions about Mercedes-Benz

How much ERE does a Mercedes-Benz earn per year?

As of October 18, 2026, at 15,000 km a year and all charged at home, a Mercedes-Benz earns about €240 to €340 a year in ERE, after the median commission of 20%. Consumption is 131 to 184 Wh/km (WLTP). Per kWh, earnings are the same for every car brand: €0.122.

Which Mercedes-Benz models are listed here?

We cover 4 Mercedes-Benz models, in order of new registrations in the Netherlands in 2024 and 2025: the Mercedes-Benz EQB (161 Wh/km, 3,423 registrations), the Mercedes-Benz EQA (150 Wh/km, 2,839 registrations), the Mercedes-Benz EQE (184 Wh/km, 1,462 registrations) and the Mercedes-Benz CLA (131 Wh/km, 1,178 registrations). 8,902 registrations combined (EEA).

Which Mercedes-Benz uses the least energy?

the Mercedes-Benz CLA has the lowest consumption: 131 Wh/km (WLTP), the most kilometres per kWh of the Mercedes-Benz models here. the Mercedes-Benz EQE has the highest consumption: 184 Wh/km. Lower consumption means fewer kWh charged at the same distance and therefore less ERE, not more. The brand does not change earnings per kWh.

How is the ERE figure for a Mercedes-Benz calculated?

At 15,000 km a year, all charged at home, after the median commission of 20%: about €240 (the Mercedes-Benz CLA, 131 Wh/km) to €340 (the Mercedes-Benz EQE, 184 Wh/km). That difference comes only from the measured consumption (Wh/km, so kilometres per kWh), not from the brand. Per kWh, earnings are the same for every car brand. Since 1 January 2026, private users need a charger with a built-in MID meter; public charging earns you no ERE.

Can I charge a Mercedes-Benz bidirectionally?

Not for the brand as a whole, and only as the source describes it per model. V2L: no on every model in the data. V2H: no on every model in the data. V2G: no on every model in the data. Mercedes-Benz EQB: No V2L, V2H or V2G, via AC or DC. The EQB is not on the list for MB.CHARGE Home, Mercedes' home charging service. Outside the Netherlands: Only in Japan via CHAdeMO; its successor, the electric GLB, is listed for future V2H and V2G via DC. Mercedes-Benz EQA: No V2L, V2H or V2G, via AC or DC. Mercedes brings bidirectional charging to Europe only with its new generation, such as the GLC and CLA. Outside the Netherlands: Only in Japan via CHAdeMO; its successor, the electric GLA, is listed for future V2H and V2G via DC. Mercedes-Benz EQE: No V2L, V2H or V2G, via AC or DC, for both the EQE saloon and the EQE SUV. The EQE is not on the MB.CHARGE Home list. Outside the Netherlands: Bidirectional charging for the EQE exists only in Japan, via CHAdeMO. Mercedes-Benz CLA: No V2L. The hardware is prepared for V2H and V2G via DC, to be switched on later by an update, but it is not active anywhere yet (September 2026) and the Netherlands is not named. Outside the Netherlands: Planned for Germany, France and the UK, first on the GLC and then on the CLA. Sources: Power to Drive, interview Mercedes-Benz, electrive, ev-database.org, ev-database.org, ev-database.org, The Mobility House, ev-database.org. Checked on October 6, 2026.

Does the car brand matter for ERE?

No. ERE depends on the kWh you charge at home and on the provider (the ERE price and the commission), never on the car brand. Per kWh, earnings for a Mercedes-Benz are the same as for every other brand: 0.33269 ERE per kWh, at €0.460 per ERE (October 18, 2026), after the median commission of 20%, which is €0.122 per kWh. A car with higher consumption (more Wh/km, fewer kilometres per kWh) charges more kWh at the same distance and therefore earns more ERE. That difference comes from the measured consumption, not from the brand.
