For solar panel owners

# Best ERE provider with solar panels at home

Solar panels on your own roof don’t raise your ERE payment: as a private individual you’re calculated on the national average renewable-electricity share (roughly 50.5% in 2026), not your own generation. What does count is an integrated MID meter, verifiable per-session charging data and ownership of the connection. Below you can compare providers suited to home charging, with or without solar panels.

## What to look out for

1

### National share, not your output

The conversion to EREs always uses the national average renewable-electricity share for private individuals. That applies no matter how much electricity you generate yourself.

2

### 100% renewable is a strict exception

Only power generated at the same address (or received through a direct line) can count higher, with special guarantees of origin and no operating subsidy. Buying green power does not count. For home charging the NEa uses the fixed percentage as standard.

3

### What actually affects your payment

An integrated MID-certified meter, verifiable per-session data and ownership of the connection together determine whether and how much you receive.

4

### Solar still pays off separately

Solar panels lower your energy bill and can pay through net metering or feed-in payments. That benefit sits separate from your ERE payment.

## Providers for this situation

Ranked by estimated net earnings at 4,000 kWh per year. See the full comparison for all the details.

| Provider | Pricing model | Net/year (4,000 kWh) | Payout | |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Stekker | 15% | €320 - €390 | Annual | [View →](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/stekker/) |
| Groen-laden.nl | 15% (min € 34.99, max € 79.99 a year) | €320 - €390 | Annual | [View →](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/groen-laden/) |
| Laadnet | 20% | €300 - €360 | Quarterly (from 2027) | [View →](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/laadnet/) |
| Voltico | 20% | €300 - €360 | Quarterly | [View →](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/voltico/) |
| Joulo | 20% | €300 - €360 | Quarterly | [View →](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/joulo/) |

For home charging with solar panels the same criteria apply as for any private connection; compare providers below on commission, payout and terms, not on who promises the highest renewable percentage.

Net amounts are indicative and based on the current ERE market price. An NEa listing is not an approval. This is not tax or legal advice.

### Do you get a higher ERE payment if you have solar panels at home?

Solar panels on your roof don’t automatically raise your ERE payment. We explain why private grid electricity is calculated using the national average renewable share, and when a higher share does count.

### End of net metering in 2027: why charging on your own solar power pays off more

Net metering (salderen) ends on 1 January 2027. Solar power you feed back then earns far less, so charging your car while the sun shines becomes more valuable. What changes, and where does your ERE payment fit in?

### Renting or leasing solar panels: what does it mean for your ERE payment?

Rented or leased solar panels, including panels from your housing corporation, don’t change whether or how much ERE you get for home charging. What does count, who owns what, and what to check in your contract.

### How is the number of EREs from charged kWh calculated?

The official formula converts charged kWh into EREs: renewable share × 183 g CO₂/MJ × 3.6 MJ/kWh. With a worked example for 2026.
