[Market series in the data history](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/changes/)

On September 30, 2026 that count was 41 providers, of which 37 were accepting customers. That is the same figure as the market series of 27 September 2026.

The comparison on the site no longer counts a second offer of an existing provider separately. Those are now Frank Energie and Tibber. On September 30, 2026 they were still inside the count of 41. The site now lists 41 providers, of which 36 are accepting customers.

Discontinued in this quarter: [0-CO2](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/0-co2/) (September 23, 2026).

The changelog shows 18 providers added to the comparison during this quarter. That date is the day we added them, not the day they started.

After the quarter, through October 11, 2026, these were added: DIC Laadsystemen (October 5, 2026), Hey! Charging (October 5, 2026).

Of the energy suppliers, 6 had an ERE deal on September 30, 2026: Blue Current Energy, Frank Energie, Hegg Energy, Tibber, Vattenfall, Zonneplan. Also: DELTA Energie (unknown), Eneco (Pre-registration), Essent (Waitlist), NLD energie (Energie VanOns) (unknown). 81 suppliers had no deal. This is the status in the data history, not a ranking.

[Trust score in the data history](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/how-we-compare/)

Extra costs are not a series in the data history. In the current research, for these 41 providers, the split is: no extra costs 14, extra costs, shown next to the price 5, extra costs only in the terms 13, cannot be checked 9. For 18 of them the check is later than September 30, 2026 (newest check October 16, 2026). This is not the position on September 30, 2026.

On 6 October 2026, after the quarter, the method was tightened with the weakest-link rule: when another company holds the contract or the mandate, or pays out, the company and funding pillars follow the weakest company in that chain. A partner that only books for the provider does not count.

A correction rewrites a point in the data history. It is our mistake, not a change by the provider. The changelog has 70 corrections in this quarter (68 on September 23, 2026, 2 on September 24, 2026). The full list is in the changelog. [Open the changelog](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/changes/)

[Commission in the data history](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/compare/)

### Fixed fee against the median commission

The break-even is the kWh per year at which a fixed annual fee costs as much as the median commission. Formula: annual fee / (commission × ERE price × 0.33269 ERE per kWh), rounded to 25 kWh. The same rounding as the rest of the site.

| Provider | Annual fee | kWh at €0.469 | kWh at €0.46 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [Groen-laden.nl](https://erevergelijken.eu/en/providers/groen-laden/) | €79.99 | 2,575 | 2,625 |

The first kWh column uses the median of September 30, 2026 (€0.469) and that day's commission (20 percent). The second column uses the current median (€0.46, newest source October 18, 2026) and the current median commission (20 percent). That second column changes when the price changes.

Vattenfall publishes a guaranteed minimum of €0.05 per kWh. That is not a fixed annual fee, so there is no break-even in kWh.

### Commission after September 30, 2026

A QR code alone is then no longer sufficient for these points. This retrofit duty does not apply to existing points outside the TEN-T network or to points below 50 kW.

     ### AFIR review by the end of 2026 (AFIR Art. 24(2))

The European Commission must review AFIR by 31 December 2026, assessing among other things whether the electronic payment means in Art. 5(1) are still appropriate and whether the price components in Art. 5(4) give consumers clear and sufficient information. It may follow up with an amendment proposal. As of 27-09-2026, Art. 5 has not been amended; the two amendments so far (Delegated Regulations 2025/656 and 2025/671) concern standards in Annex II and data types in Art. 20.

Method and sources

## How this edition is counted

Quarter figures are as of September 30, 2026. What happened after that is included only when it falls on or before October 11, 2026. A later rebuild does not rewrite this quarter.

The ERE price is the median of the latest figure per named source, inside 183 days. A figure with no named source does not count. There is no official quote.

The current indication is the median of the latest observation per named source. A price indication counts, and a benchmark counts when it has a date. The date has to fall in the last 14 days of the newest observation. A figure with no named source does not count. A realised sale does not count. With fewer than 2 such sources we show no indication.

The provider count is everyone with a registration status in the data history that day, except a closed offer. That count is the same as the market series. The site no longer counts a second offer separately. That difference is stated with the providers, not folded into the quarter figure.

The data history starts on September 27, 2026. Prices, scores, commissions and charging tariffs therefore have no figure for July 1, 2026. The ERE price does, because the sources are older.

The break-even against the current price follows the site’s price basket and can still change after this edition. The quarter break-even stays on September 30, 2026.

### Questions

Which ERE price belongs to this quarter?

On September 30, 2026 the median ERE price from the named sources was €0.469 per ERE. On June 30, 2026 it was €0.481. The band on September 30, 2026 ran from €0.4225 to €0.505 (6 sources).

Why is the median not equal to one sale?

The median takes each named source's latest figure inside 183 days. One low sale counts as one source, next to the others. A figure with no named source, such as erewaarde.nl, is left out.

Why does the provider count differ from the count on the site?

On September 30, 2026 everyone with a registration status in the data history was counted, except a closed offer. That was 41 providers. The site no longer counts a second offer of an existing provider separately. Those are now Frank Energie and Tibber. The data history starts on September 27, 2026, so there is no figure for 1 July.

Are the payouts evidenced?

No. Approved customer reports in our list: 0. The data marks a payout as scheduled, not as seen by us, unless the status says otherwise. Zeres describes an advance in its own words. A realised ERE sale is not a payout to a customer.
