Good to know: easyEnergy describes itself as a trade name of 'e-Energy B.V.' with ACM decisions 2017/201371 and 2017/201374. The ACM register has no 'e-Energy B.V.' but lists e-Energy Europe B.V. with an electricity license granted 10 March 2017 (reference ACM/DC/2017/201571). The date matches, but the name and decision number differ from what easyEnergy states. Dynamic contract only (model contracts not counted); easyEnergy actively sells to consumers only.

Supplier cost per year

€7 per month per connection including VAT: easyEnergy states '14 euro incl 21% BTW' for electricity and gas together. Purchase fee €0.02178 per kWh including VAT ('2,178 ct/kwh incl. BTW'). The tariff FAQ still shows the 2025 energy tax rate; the prices page, which already uses the 2026 rate, shows the same purchase fee of 2.178 ct/kWh.

Indefinite term; cancellable monthly free of charge with the statutory 30-day notice (1 to 2 working days if you cancel directly with easyEnergy).

* Amount as the supplier publishes it; the supplier does not say whether it includes VAT. Supplier cost per year: 12 × fixed fee + markup × 5,130 kWh (average household plus 15,000 km of home charging), incl. VAT, excl. energy tax and grid costs.

For EV drivers

ERE deal: No. No ERE offer found on easyenergy.com.

Smart charging: easyLaden (test phase, sign up via the site): the app schedules car or charger charging on quarter-hour prices, in 30-minute blocks, with a departure time. The algorithm is from ev.energy. The page does not list supported cars or chargers.

Home battery: Duracell Energy home battery via partner Batterijenhuis; its energy management system charges at low and uses power at high dynamic prices.

Feed-in: No feed-in costs. Consumption and export are netted per quarter-hour at the market price; net export in a quarter-hour earns the market price. The purchase fee is charged only on the monthly net of consumption and export.

Per kWh including VAT and energy tax, excluding fixed supply costs, grid costs and the tax reduction per connection. Markup: as we recorded it per month; before September 27, 2026 the first markup we saw. Market price: Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE), data Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de (CC BY 4.0)

Worked example: an electric car charging 2,700 kWh a year at home would have paid about €337 less over the last 12 months with smart charging than charging in the evening. That assumes the car is plugged in during the cheapest hours. More trends
