ERE with a Mennekes charger

Does your Mennekes count for ERE?

Per model: counts, MID meter, source

Not every Mennekes charger counts: only models with a built-in MID meter qualify for ERE. Check your model below.

With Mennekes, the type number shows the MID variant: the 4You 460 and 560 have an integrated MID meter, while the 4You 110/310/410/510 and Compact 2.0s do not. The Professional series and the Charge Control (three-phase connection only) also have a MID meter.

The NEa rule

For home charging the MID meter must be built into the charger since 1 January 2026. A separate (external) MID meter does not count for private users; only businesses that already registered that way before 2026 have until 1 January 2027. Exception: a separate allocation point from the grid operator with only the charger behind it.

Which ERE providers work with Mennekes?

Based on the providers’ own brand lists. An automatic connection saves manual work and avoids missing sessions.

Connects automatically (8)

Works via an export or lists the brand (8)

Also via a manual export of your charging sessions, whatever the brand: Inboekdienst.nl, Den Hartog Charging, Groen-laden.nl

How to get your charging data out of your Mennekes

Via the AMTRON 4Drivers app (charging history; on the MID variants 4You 460/560 a charging report listing every session that can be emailed automatically; export functions for statistics). The 4You 400/500 and Professional use OCPP 1.6j and the Charge Control OCPP 1.5s/1.6s/1.6j, so a CPO back office also works; for 4Business 700/Professional there is also Mennekes' own billing service, MENNEKES ativo. The Compact 2.0s and 4You 100/300 have no backend/app connection.

Mennekes NL has an ERE knowledge page. It says a home charger needs a MID-certified kWh meter integrated in the charger (not a separate meter in the meter cupboard). In its AMTRON 4You 400 press release, Mennekes calls the 4You 460 suitable for ERE certificates.
