For solar panel owners
Best ERE provider with solar panels at home
Solar panels on your own roof don’t raise your ERE payment: as a private individual you’re calculated on the national average renewable-electricity share (roughly 50.5% in 2026), not your own generation. What does count is an integrated MID meter, verifiable per-session charging data and ownership of the connection. Below you can compare providers suited to home charging, with or without solar panels.

What to look out for
National share, not your output
The conversion to EREs always uses the national average renewable-electricity share for private individuals. That applies no matter how much electricity you generate yourself.
100% renewable is a business exception
Only a business that can demonstrably purchase or generate 100% renewable electricity may, under conditions, use a higher share. This almost never applies to ordinary private home charging.
What actually affects your payment
An integrated MID-certified meter, verifiable per-session data and ownership of the connection together determine whether and how much you receive.
Solar still pays off separately
Solar panels lower your energy bill and can pay through net metering or feed-in payments. That benefit sits separate from your ERE payment.

For home charging with solar panels the same criteria apply as for any private connection; compare providers below on commission, payout and terms, not on who promises the highest renewable percentage.

Do you get a higher ERE payment if you have solar panels at home?
Solar panels on your roof don’t automatically raise your ERE payment. We explain why private grid electricity is calculated using the national average renewable share, and when a higher share does count.
ViewHow is the number of EREs from charged kWh calculated?
The official formula converts charged kWh into EREs: renewable share × 183 g CO₂/MJ × 3.6 MJ/kWh. With a worked example for 2026.
