Can your ERE provider book? What the NEa overview of 21 October shows

The Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa) publishes an overview of account holders in the Energy for Transport Register (REV). We read the page and the PDF on 25 October 2026. The file is the overview of 21 October 2026. Below is what it contains, what a facility does and does not say, and what that means for the providers you can sign up with now.

What the NEa published

The account-holder overview page, read on 25 October 2026, says the overview contains the names of the account holders (legal entities) and the facilities available on the account:

  • booking (inboeken)
  • transferring (overboeken)
  • entering the fuel-supply obligation (LtE)
  • registration service provider (inboekdienstverlener)

The NEa writes that it updates this overview at least twice a year. The PDF on that page is headed “Rekeninghouder Register Energie voor Vervoer op 21-10-2026” and footed “21 oktober 2026”. In that file we counted 169 account holders. 22 have a mark in the registration-service facility column.

A registration service provider, on the Inboekdienstverleners page, is a company that registers electricity delivered by others in the REV and receives emission reduction units (EREs) for that. The facility on the overview means that option is available on the account. The overview names the account. It does not name a provider’s commission, service or terms.

We no longer use the list of registration service providers of 7 August 2026. On 25 October 2026 the document page of that list returned no page. The changelog of 25 October 2026 records that check B3 uses the account-holder overview from that date. The lapsed list said a mention is not an approval or accreditation by the NEa. We read the overview the same way: a facility is a fact about the account. That is set out in NEa, REV and registration service provider: who does what?.

How many providers book through such an account

169 account holders is different from the number of ERE providers you can sign up with. An account holder is not always a provider on this site. A provider can also book through a partner.

Of the 36 providers you can sign up with now, 16 book through an account with the registration-service facility (NEa overview, 21 October 2026). 20 do not book through such an account. For 0 we do not know.

That count uses the same rule for every provider. An own account or a named partner counts the same: the party that books with the NEa has the facility on the overview. The figures come from our comparison and from check B3, and they move when that data changes. You also see them at the top of registration service providers.

Who books through such an account

Below are the 16 providers whose booking party has the facility. That is the provider itself, or a partner the provider names. The order is alphabetical. The sentence under each name is the same. The link goes to that provider’s page.

What this means for you

An account can still be opened until 15 December 2026. The step-by-step plan of 1 June 2026, read on 25 October 2026, says the possibility to open an account starts during the second quarter of 2026 and ends on 15 December 2026.

The REV FAQ, also read on 25 October 2026, names a pause between 15 December and 1 April. In that period no account applications and no applications for a booking facility are processed. The FAQ calls it a temporary pause, so that applications already received are finished in time to book the previous year’s deliveries before 1 March. Those two texts stand side by side. We do not infer from them what happens to customers.

The NEa has not published what happens to customers of a provider that still has no account with the facility on 15 December 2026. When the NEa does publish that, we will update this article.

Deliveries from 2026 have to be booked in time. Three NEa pages, all read on 25 October 2026, name a limit:

  • The page Inboeken elektriciteit says deliveries from a year can be booked until 1 March of the following year, that the verification statement must be in before 1 May, and that the year closes on 1 April.
  • The REV FAQ says the same about the booking limit: until 1 March of the next year, and from 1 March no longer for the previous year.
  • The step-by-step plan says you can book for 2026 from the moment the account is open, through 26 February 2027. Verification must be done before 1 May. Transfers are possible until 1 April.

Those timelines still stand side by side. What that means for signing up is in Leaving money on the table? Cash in your 2026 charging this year.

Your charge point is registered with one provider at a time. The Inboekdienstverleners page says a private individual may appoint only one registration service provider per calendar year, and that one address or EAN code may be registered by only one registration service provider per calendar year. How to switch is in Switching ERE provider.

Check your own provider on registration service providers. For each provider you can sign up with now, it shows whether the booking party has the facility, does not, or whether we do not know.

How we keep this up to date

Check B3 in the trust score has, since 25 October 2026, asked the same question for every provider: does the legal entity that books with the NEa have the registration-service facility on the overview of 21 October 2026? Its own entity scores the full point. A named partner with that facility scores 0.75. Otherwise 0. A facility says something about the account, not about a provider’s service. The text of that change is in the changelog.
