Good to know: Frank focuses on dynamic. A 1-year fixed contract (also as fixed gas with dynamic electricity) appears in the terms and in the September 2026 reference tariffs; per its own site Frank offers a variable contract only via a few price comparison sites (fixed charge for electricity €7 per month including VAT, September 2026). The sign-up form has a 'micro-business' option; we found no separate business offer.

Where the label states grams per kWh or grams per MWh, that figure is converted exactly to micrograms per kWh (1 gram = 1,000,000 micrograms, 1 gram per MWh = 1,000 micrograms per kWh).
The page states a 0% contribution to CO2 and radioactive waste. Sources other than wind and solar are not in the text.

Dynamic contract
- Fixed fee per month
- €7.25*
- Markup per kWh
- €0.0182*
- Price per
- hour
- Supplier cost per year
- €180*
Both amounts come from Frank Energie's comparison table (updated April 2026): fixed supply fee €7.25 per month and purchase fee €0.0182 per kWh. The table does not say whether the amounts include or exclude VAT (VAT basis not stated), nor whether the €7.25 applies per product. An older Frank page (dated 3 January 2025) states €7 per month, also without a VAT basis. For the purchase fee, Frank's own sources do point to a VAT-inclusive amount: Frank defines the all-in price as 'the market price plus purchase fee, energy tax and VAT', and in Frank's public price feed the all-in price is exactly market price + 21% VAT on the market price + €0.01815 purchase fee + €0.11085 energy tax (the VAT-inclusive rate). VAT is only added separately to the market price there, which means €0.01815 (rounded €0.0182) already includes VAT (€0.015 excluding VAT). This is derived, not stated verbatim. Frank bills hourly prices by default; you can switch to quarter-hour prices in the app.
Indefinite term; cancellation is free and there is no notice period.
* Amount as the supplier publishes it; the supplier does not say whether it includes VAT. Supplier cost per year: 12 × fixed fee + markup × 5,130 kWh (average household plus 15,000 km of home charging), incl. VAT, excl. energy tax and grid costs.

ERE deal: Yes. Via registration service Joulo (since 16 September 2026), for customers with a suitable charge point with a MID meter. Signing up before 25 February 2027 includes sessions from 1 January 2026; quarterly payout, shown in the Frank app. View this ERE offer
Smart charging: Smart Charging in the Frank app: set a departure time and Frank schedules charging at the cheapest moments. Car brands: Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Cupra, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lucid, Mazda, Mercedes, MG, MINI, NIO, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, SEAT, Skoda, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo. Chargers: Charge Amps, ChargePoint, Easee, Garo, Heidelberg, Hypervolt, KEBA, Ohme, Pod Point, Schneider Electric, Wallbox, Zaptec. In parts of Flevoland, Gelderland, Utrecht and Noord-Brabant (East) an extra grid-congestion fee is possible.
Home battery: Slim Stroom Handelen: Frank steers a linked home battery to charge at low and discharge at high prices, including on the imbalance market; open to multiple brands. Smart traders get a 'Frank Slim discount' that sets purchase fees to zero (fair-use policy).
Feed-in: No feed-in costs. Per the comparison table (April 2026) and the knowledge base, exported power earns the market price plus a feed-in purchase fee of €0.0182 per kWh; the table explains that a positive value means you receive money. The invoice guide, however, says you pay a purchase fee on exported power; Frank's own pages are not consistent on this. With Slim Terugleveren (a linked inverter from brands including Enphase, SolarEdge, SMA, Huawei, Solis, Sungrow, GoodWe, Fronius and Growatt) Frank mentions a feed-in bonus of about 15% on the market price.

Per kWh including VAT and energy tax, excluding fixed supply costs, grid costs and the tax reduction per connection. Markup: as we recorded it per month; before September 27, 2026 the first markup we saw. * The supplier publishes the amount without saying whether it includes VAT. Market price: Energy-Charts (Fraunhofer ISE), data Bundesnetzagentur | SMARD.de (CC BY 4.0)
Worked example: an electric car charging 2,700 kWh a year at home would have paid about €337 less over the last 12 months with smart charging than charging in the evening. That assumes the car is plugged in during the cheapest hours. More trends
